Loved this read. I recently crossed 10k subscribers. Most my growth came from no direct links. I was in facebook groups & community forums posting stuff. No one allowed links. Grew solely through “credits: The Social Juice newsletter” tagline. This also helped him build organic search for newsletter.

Glad you enjoy it! It's a long term investment - I was under 1,000 subscribers for the first year.
One of the biggest factors for me that has prevented growth has been a more consistent volume of posts I publish.
