Watch now on YouTube, Apple, and Spotify.

Wes has helped 100s of tech professionals make $20,000+ per cohort by teaching online. In our interview, she shared her best frameworks to help you:

  • [00:00] Build your spiky point of view

  • [09:35] Find your niche by going outside-in and inside out

  • [22:50] Validate demand before building

  • [29:38] Use state changes to avoid boring presentations

10 spiky points of view from me about product management and creators

As Wes mentioned, a spiky point of view is your unique view that others may disagree with. Here are some of my spiky takes on product management and creators:

5 spiky takes about product management

  1. Junior PMs think strategy is harder (and more glamorous) than execution but senior PMs know that execution beats strategy every time.

  2. The best way to coordinate cross-functionally is to eliminate the need to do it. Small empowered teams beat large orgs any day.

  3. 99% of products shouldn’t be built in stealth with a big reveal at the end. Instead, be transparent with customers and treat them like adults.
