Man this definitively struck a close nerve, being a cancer survivor myself and having lost several family members to the same, this is a use case that definitively inspires me. Thanks a lot for sharing, hoping for the best results and sending all the possible good energy, stay positive!
Thank you for sharing. I'm wishing the best for your mom and for your family. Hoping she beats it again!!
I'd be interested in seeing future posts on how you organize your project, if you're anonymizing information, and how you parse through what might be accurate vs not (a study showed that AI is accurate 95% of the time when given perfect information, but that drops to 35% when conversing with a non-doctor, source below).
I'm also curious how you think about submitting your mom's private health data to an LLM that isn't regulated like healthcare platforms. This is a genuine question as it's a risk/benefit analysis I've been applying to myself and other family members. 🫶🏻
my father's sister (we call this relation "bua" in Hindi) was very close to me. she was an amazing person. we lost her to blood cancer in 2012. the void is still there. i pray to god that your mom gets well soon. she has proven that she is a fighter... and she has to make some awesome memories with her grand kids... so she has to fight 1 more time. keep her healthy and smiling.

Take good care of yourself and of your mom. I love that you are putting her first and taking the time to go and be with her. Work will always be here.
Wishing your Mom, you, and your family the best of luck tackling this once again #fuckcancer
Thank you for sharing this, Peter. Best of luck, strength, and hope during this tough time.
Thinking positive thoughts for your mom, you and the rest of your family.
