What’s happening right now on Xiaohongshu (小红书), or the Red Note, is truly heartwarming.
In a world where algorithms often amplify division, people are showing that they can rise above it.
Many TikTok refugees may have come there seeking rebellion, but when real people meet real people, something magical happens.
From both sides, they’re opening up, speaking from their hearts, and embracing new perspectives without prejudice.
It’s a powerful reminder that when we strip away the noise, the labels, and the preconceived notions, what remains is our shared humanity, then, we can build bridges that truly matter.
Yeah the industrial espionage and IP theft by CCP on the west has been heart warming. And using young-children for a PsyOps on US soil is truly heart warming.
Wonderful propaganda. Easier access to misinformation and capture of data directly into China. However the app is beautifully designed and that is only matters. Right?
Not living in the US, but watching the interaction between different cultures on Xiaohongshu when the ban begun was such a refreshing and hopeful thing. Biggest wish is that we could un-weaponize all social media platforms and connect across all boarders ❤️
When the current dictatorship gives the Chinese people full and complete access to the world's web, and allows western nations full and complete access to China's intranet, the possibility of "shared humanity" may emerge. Until then, nations blocked from China's national "great wall" intranet should block China from the wider world's web, in turn.

I do think there's something special about being able to see each others' worlds and move beyond the differences amplified by politicians. We're all just people trying to get through life and find some meaning and fun along the way.
@Peter I respect your opinion as a PM and am a fan of your work.

Thank you for the deep dive!
